Aerolineas Argentinas FAQs

Find quick answers to the most common questions about flying with Aerolineas Argentinas.

How can Aerolineas Argentinas’ illustrated guides help a traveller prepare for the airport journey?

The airline publishes illustrated guides for domestic and international journeys covering preparation, check-in, security, boarding and baggage collection. The international guide also explains immigration steps. Review the relevant guide together before travel to familiarise the traveller with the sequence. These undated guides do not establish current baggage allowances or check-in deadlines.

What details must the adults dropping off and collecting an unaccompanied child provide to Aerolineas Argentinas, and when may the departing adult leave?

The June 2022 declaration form requests each adult’s name, address, identification number, telephone and mobile number. The departing adult must remain at the airport until the flight has departed; the collecting adult must be there by the scheduled arrival time. This form does not establish service ages or fees.

What kennel and securing materials should I prepare for a pet travelling in the hold with Aerolineas Argentinas?

Use a rigid kennel with a leak-proof base, side ventilation and a metal door. Passengers must supply the securing items; the airline does not provide them. Follow the guide to lock and tie the door, then enclose the kennel in a nylon net while keeping its handle usable. Flexible or collapsible carriers, removable tops and plastic doors are not accepted. Check the guide for permitted tie types and fitting instructions.

How should I submit a MEDIF to Aerolineas Argentinas, and how much time should I allow?

The March 2025 revision requires a reservation on an Aerolineas Argentinas-operated flight and completion and signature of the medical form by the treating doctor. Email it to [email protected] with MEDIF, the six-letter booking code and first-flight date in the subject. Submit between 20 business days and 72 business hours before departure. The medical department will advise its assessment. Bring the original and three copies on travel day.

How far ahead should I arrange carriage of peritoneal dialysis solution with Aerolineas Argentinas?

The March 2025 MEDIF guide requests contact with [email protected] at least 20 business days before departure. For international travel, consult the destination consulate or embassy about customs and immigration requirements; passengers pay any customs-processing charges. Hold-temperature restrictions may apply on domestic flights. Contacting the airline does not itself confirm acceptance.
