Finnair baggage allowance

Finnair passengers may bring at least one carry-on bag and small personal item, while checked baggage allowances depend on the fare. Checked bags are generally limited to 23 kg and 90 × 75 × 45 cm in Economy and Premium Economy. In Business Class, the limit is 23 kg on short-haul flights and 32 kg on long-haul flights, with the same maximum dimensions.

Infants

You can travel with an infant on all Finnair flights if the baby is two days old. A child ticket costs 10% of an adult Finnair ticket. An infant does not have its seat on board. If you want to buy a seat for your infant (child under two years of age), the price of the ticket, in this case, corresponds to a child ticket with a child discount.

Check in rules

Finnair online check-in generally opens 36 hours before departure; for direct Helsinki–US flights, it opens 24 hours before departure and closes 75 minutes before departure. Airport check-in and Bag Drop generally open at least 2 hours before departure, and boarding gates typically close around 15 minutes before departure. Check-in times may vary by airport and partner-operated flight.
