Caribbean Airlines FAQs

Find quick answers to the most common questions about flying with Caribbean Airlines.

Which children can travel unaccompanied on Caribbean Airlines?

The airline’s form covers children aged 5–11 without a companion aged 16 or over, accepted only by special arrangement. Under-fives must be accompanied by someone aged at least 16.

What paperwork and handover arrangements are needed for a Caribbean Airlines unaccompanied child?

Complete the form in block capitals and bring three signed copies, naming departure and arrival contacts. The sender stays until departure; the receiver attends at arrival, with valid photo identification checked at handover.

What cabin baggage does Caribbean Airlines allow, and are duty-free purchases extra?

One carry-on up to 10 kg and 56 × 35 × 23 cm, including wheels and handles, plus one personal item up to 33 × 43 × 15 cm. Duty-free purchases count within these allowances; items outside them attract extra-piece charges.

What baggage can a lap infant bring on Caribbean Airlines?

A lap infant may have one carry-on bag up to 10 kg, plus one free fully collapsible stroller, carrying basket or infant car seat, checked or carried aboard. Cabin carriage of that infant item is subject to available space.

Does Caribbean Airlines charge only once if a bag is both overweight and oversized?

No. Extra-piece, overweight and oversized charges are cumulative. A third bag that is also overweight and oversized attracts all applicable charges, payable at airport check-in. Bags over 32 kg are not accepted as checked baggage; ask Cargo about shipping.

What should I do before leaving the airport if Caribbean Airlines has not delivered my bag?

Contact a Caribbean Airlines representative before leaving the airport. Show your ticket, boarding pass and baggage-identification sticker or number, and complete and sign a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) so the bag can be traced. Keep a copy of the report and your baggage documents.

Can I claim for damaged baggage or missing contents after leaving a Caribbean Airlines arrival airport?

Report damage before leaving and obtain a PIR where possible. If you have already left, submit a written claim within seven days of receiving the bag, with the PIR, claim form, boarding-pass stubs, bag tags and purchase evidence. Missing contents may also require a police report.

How should I pack a bicycle for Caribbean Airlines?

The airline accepts a single-seat, non-motorised touring or racing bicycle. Pack it in a cardboard container, protecting pedals and handlebars with foam, or turn the handlebars sideways and remove the pedals. The page also directs that tyres be deflated. Applicable baggage allowances and excess charges still apply.

How many power banks does Caribbean Airlines allow, and may I use them aboard?

Up to two per person, each no more than 100 Wh, in cabin baggage only. Individually protect them against short circuits, for example with original packaging or separate protective pouches. Do not recharge them or use them to charge devices during the flight.

What information should I provide about an item left aboard Caribbean Airlines?

Use the page’s Email Us link, describing the item in detail and giving your seat assignment. The airline emails the result and, if found, collection instructions. For items left at security, contact the relevant airport lost-and-found office or TSA instead.
