Safarilink FAQs

Find quick answers to the most common questions about flying with Safarilink.

Does Safarilink’s 15 or 20 kg allowance include hand baggage?

Yes. It totals 15 kg, or 20 kg for Zanzibar, Kisumu, Diani, Lamu, Malindi, Entebbe and Mombasa. Use soft bags.

Does a Safarilink infant without a paid seat have baggage allowance?

No. Infants without a paid seat have no baggage allowance.

Can I store baggage at Safarilink’s Wilson Airport office?

Yes. Complimentary secure storage is available. Ask at check-in.

Why does Safarilink require soft baggage?

Its small aircraft have limited, irregular baggage compartments. Rigid cases are difficult to stow and may travel on a later flight.

Can I check a golf bag on Safarilink?

Request it in advance. Dash 8 flights consider it individually at USD 20 per bag per sector. Acceptance is not universal.

What are Safarilink’s check-in deadlines at Zanzibar and Wilson?

Zanzibar: 90 minutes before departure. Nairobi Wilson: 60 minutes. These deadlines exclude direct Safarilink-to-Safarilink connections.

What should I bring to Safarilink check-in after paying online by card?

Bring a passport or other photo ID and the credit card used for the online purchase.

Are pets accepted on Safarilink Safari routes or Cessna Caravan services?

No, even in an airline-approved container. Other aircraft have separate conditions.

Does Safarilink guarantee connections to other airlines?

No. It guarantees connections only to its own operated flights and does not cover costs from missed other-airline connections.

Can I decline a Safarilink operational, weather or safety schedule change?

Yes. Accept the revised arrangements or cancel and obtain a refund for the unflown Safarilink sector.
