Iberia Express FAQs

Find quick answers to the most common questions about flying with Iberia Express.

What cabin bags may I take in Iberia Express Economy?

One bag up to 10 kg, 56 × 40 × 25 cm, plus one 30 × 40 × 15 cm personal item fitting under the seat ahead.

Does Iberia Express charge when compliant cabin bags cannot fit?

A compliant 10 kg cabin bag may be placed in the hold without extra charge when cabin carriage is restricted, then returned at destination. Oversized or overweight bags are different.

How should I pack cabin liquids for Iberia Express?

Use containers no larger than 100 ml in one transparent resealable bag of at most 1 litre. Close it fully and present it separately at security.

When is Iberia Express unaccompanied-child assistance compulsory?

For ages 5–11 without a companion aged at least 16, or in a different cabin. Usually optional at 12–17; under-14s departing Italy need an adult or the service.

How do I book an Iberia Express journey for an unaccompanied 5–11-year-old?

Buy through an office or agency and request assistance together. The group recommends arranging the service at least 48 hours ahead.

What paperwork is needed for Iberia Express child handover?

Print and sign the Responsibility Declaration with guardian and handover details. Bring adult and child original identification. Named handover adults need official photo ID.

Is an unaccompanied Iberia Express child supervised in Madrid transit?

With the booked service, supervision covers Madrid connections sold and operated by Iberia, Iberia Express or Air Nostrum. Do not assume other-airline connections qualify.

When may an Iberia Express unaccompanied child's adult leave?

Remain at the airport with your phone on until staff confirm the aircraft has taken off.

What health documents should I prepare for an Iberia Express pet?

Prepare an official health document and vaccinations required by the destination, commonly rabies vaccination. Check that country's rules; this does not guarantee carriage acceptance.

How does Iberia Express accommodate assistance dogs in the cabin?

They travel free in the cabin at their owner's feet without obstructing other passengers' space. This assistance-dog rule does not make ordinary pets free.
