Norse Atlantic Airways FAQs

Find quick answers to the most common questions about flying with Norse Atlantic Airways.

Will Norse through-check baggage to another airline on a separately booked onward ticket?

No. Its carriage conditions do not provide through-check services for independently booked onward transportation with other carriers. Allow time to collect and recheck baggage and check the onward carrier’s requirements.

How can an oversized musical instrument travel in a Norse cabin?

Notify Norse well before check-in and obtain permission; a separate charge may apply. An item requiring its own seat needs available additional seating next to you in the same travel class. Arrange acceptance before arriving at the gate.

What must I do if Norse requires my cabin bag to be checked?

Remove every item prohibited in checked baggage before handing it over. Ask staff how restricted items must be handled; permission to carry something in the cabin does not establish permission to check it.

Does paying Norse’s excess-baggage charge guarantee carriage on my flight?

No. Excess baggage requires payment and suitable space on the aircraft. Norse may refuse baggage beyond the allowance. Confirm excess or bulky baggage arrangements in advance.

What identification should I attach to checked baggage on Norse?

Attach your name or other personal identification, including a contact telephone number. Norse also issues an identification tag for each checked piece; retain the receipt for collection and any baggage issue.

Can I collect my Norse bag if I have lost the baggage identification receipt?

You must establish your entitlement to the bag to the airline’s reasonable satisfaction. Collection without the receipt is not automatic; contact baggage staff with details identifying the bag and your ownership.

When should I arrange a wheelchair or other special assistance with Norse?

Arrange it when ticketing, preferably at least 48 hours before departure, and describe your needs. Notify Norse promptly if those needs change adversely after acceptance. Requirements may differ for US and certain other journeys.

What submission arrangements apply when Norse requires a MEDIF?

For cases requiring medical clearance, the document calls for a completed MEDIF at least 72 hours before departure and an original fitness certificate signed by a registered practitioner within 14 days of the flight. Confirm applicability and route exceptions with Norse.

When must I reach the gate after checking in for a Norse flight?

Be at the gate no later than the Boarding Time on your boarding pass. Check-in deadlines and boarding times are separate and can differ by airport. The scheduled departure time is not the deadline for reaching the gate.

Will Norse deliver my bag if it travels on a different flight?

The conditions normally provide delivery to your supplied address. Exceptions include required personal customs clearance, rerouting due to the bag’s size, weight or character, or non-compliance with carriage conditions. Confirm whether airport collection is required.
