Air Macau FAQs

Find quick answers to the most common questions about flying with Air Macau.

What cabin suitcase can I take on Air Macau, and may I also bring a laptop?

One cabin bag of up to 7 kg and 56 × 36 × 23 cm is permitted. Additional listed personal articles are allowed free, including a small briefcase, handbag or backpack and a laptop weighing no more than 4 kg. Large strollers and adult wheelchairs must be checked in.

What checked baggage is included in Air Macau Economy, Joyful Economy and Business?

For tickets issued from 17 September 2025 under the standard allowance, adults and children receive one piece up to 32 kg in Economy, two pieces totalling up to 50 kg in Joyful Economy, or two pieces totalling up to 64 kg in Business. No piece may exceed 32 kg or 203 cm in combined dimensions. Check the ticket's applicable rules for codeshares and multi-carrier journeys.

May one adult travel with two infants on Air Macau, and what baggage does an infant receive?

No. One adult may accompany only one infant. The infant must be at least 14 days old on the travel date and under two at departure. Contact customer service to book with the adult ticket and confirm the flight's infant capacity. An infant ticket includes one checked bag of up to 25 kg and one collapsible stroller checked free.

Which infants can use an Air Macau bassinet, and is a request guaranteed?

Bassinet service is for infants no longer than 75 cm and no heavier than 11 kg. Apply in advance and purchase the appropriate cabin-class ticket. Availability varies by aircraft and is first come, first served; even an advance request is not guaranteed, so confirm with customer service early.

How early should I order a baby or child meal on Air Macau?

Use the official special-meal reservation system at least 24 hours before departure. Make the request for the travelling child and actual flight; an ordinary ticket reservation alone does not constitute a special-meal order.

What ages can use Air Macau's unaccompanied-minor service, and when should I request it?

Children under five cannot travel unaccompanied. Those aged 5–11 may do so with adult relatives or friends meeting them at both departure and arrival. Request unaccompanied-child or young-passenger assistance from customer service three working days in advance, provide contact details at both ends, and present identification documents at handover.

When does Air Macau require a pregnancy fitness certificate, and what must it contain?

A certificate is required from week 29 through completed week 36 for a single pregnancy, or through completed week 32 for a multiple pregnancy. Travel beyond those limits is not accepted; complicated pregnancies require airline assessment. A registered doctor must issue the certificate within seven days before the earliest flight, excluding departure day, in Chinese or English, with pregnancy details, due date, fitness to fly, itinerary and a medical stamp.

Must I arrange my own powered wheelchair with Air Macau in advance?

Yes. Apply to an Air Macau airport or city office no later than three days before departure and provide the battery type, brand, model and power specifications. Eligible passengers may check one wheelchair free. Personal wheelchairs travel as checked baggage, and lithium and dry batteries must meet the website's separate removal, insulation and packing rules.

After checking in online with Air Macau, must I still visit the airport counter?

Yes. The online-check-in terms require you to obtain a formal boarding pass at the counter and check any baggage. Arrive there at least ten minutes before that airport's counter closes, or the reserved seat will not be retained. Deadlines vary by airport. Passengers with infants, unaccompanied children and those needing special assistance are among the exclusions from ordinary online check-in.

Can I correct a name error on an Air Macau ticket, or change it to another passenger?

A ticket cannot be transferred to another person. Eligible corrections include spelling, reversed family/given names, title, legal name changes and marriage-related changes, with valid travel documents and supporting evidence. The policy excludes group tickets, mileage awards, industry tickets, tickets not issued on 675 stock, and tickets containing flights not operated by Air Macau.
