Surinam Airways FAQs

Find quick answers to the most common questions about flying with Surinam Airways.

How should I complain about damaged baggage on Surinam Airways international travel?

Its published conditions require a written complaint promptly after discovery, no later than seven days after receipt. Non-international carriage has separate conditions.

When does the complaint period start for delayed Surinam Airways international baggage?

The published deadline is 21 days from baggage delivery, rather than flight departure. Submit the complaint in writing.

What do tax/fee/charge entries mean on a Surinam Airways receipt?

They are government or airport charges rather than the airfare. Combined entries are itemized in fare calculation details, and uncollected charges may still be payable.

Can the official FlySLM app manage Surinam Airways bookings and extra baggage?

Surinam Airways lists booking management, pre-purchasing extra baggage and Comfort Seats among the FlySLM app’s features. Availability depends on the journey and the options offered for the booking.

Is online check-in available on every Surinam Airways flight?

No. Its app information page lists exceptions, including Miami-bound PY421 and PY481 sectors and PY332 departing Barbados. Check the current notice for your flight before relying on online check-in.
