Qingdao Airlines FAQs

Find quick answers to the most common questions about flying with Qingdao Airlines.

What is Qingdao Airlines’ cabin baggage allowance?

Except for infants, passengers outside Business Class may carry one piece; Business Class allows two. Each must not exceed 5 kg or 20 × 40 × 55 cm and must fit in a closed overhead bin or an eligible space under the seat in front. Oversized, overweight or excess pieces must be checked.

How much checked baggage is included on Qingdao Airlines domestic flights?

The standard ordinary checked allowance for adult and child tickets is 30 kg in Business, 25 kg in Super Economy and 20 kg in Economy. A lap infant has no ordinary free checked allowance, but one stroller per infant may be checked free. Promotional fares and products may have different allowances, so check the purchased product’s conditions.

How does Qingdao Airlines calculate international checked baggage for tickets issued from 8 May 2026?

Tickets issued, including voluntary changes, from 8 May 2026 use a piece system. Mainland China–Japan: Business two pieces up to 32 kg each; Super Economy and Economy two up to 23 kg each. Other international or regional routes within IATA Area 3: Business two up to 32 kg each, the other cabins one up to 23 kg. For adults, children and seated infants, each piece’s dimensions total no more than 158 cm. A lap infant receives one piece up to 23 kg and 115 cm total dimensions. Charter and international connecting itineraries may have separate rules.

Can I bring a stroller into the cabin on Qingdao Airlines?

When travelling with an infant, you may additionally bring a reasonable quantity of infant food, diapers and other travel essentials, plus a portable folding stroller. Its folded dimensions must not exceed 55 × 40 × 20 cm. A larger stroller can be checked; one stroller per infant may be checked free.

How early must I book Qingdao Airlines’ unaccompanied-minor service?

For a child aged five to under twelve travelling without an adult, the guardian must apply to the airline’s service centre or own ticket office at least 48 hours before departure and obtain approval. A320/A321 flights generally accept up to three such children; connecting itineraries are generally not accepted. Travellers aged twelve to under sixteen may also request the service, subject to both airports’ handling capability.

Can one adult accompany two infants on Qingdao Airlines?

Yes, but only one may travel on a lap-infant ticket. The other must have a child-fare ticket, a separate seat and a compliant child restraint supplied by the passenger. Infants must be at least 14 days old and under two; premature infants younger than 90 days are not accepted. An adult accompanying both infants and children is limited to one infant and two children. Flight-level infant limits also apply.

When should I request wheelchair assistance from Qingdao Airlines, and is my own wheelchair charged?

There is no stated application deadline for ramp or stair assistance, while cabin-seat wheelchair assistance must be requested 48 hours before departure. Eligible passengers may check one wheelchair or assistive device free outside the ordinary allowance. An electric wheelchair must be handed over two hours before ordinary check-in closes and meet battery rules. Stair and cabin-seat wheelchair passengers are limited to two combined per flight sector.

Can I request a special meal at the airport on Qingdao Airlines?

No. Special meals are available only on flights serving a main meal and within the local caterer’s supply. Request them at least 24 hours before departure and rely on the airline’s confirmation. Airport requests and last-minute changes of meal type are not accepted. Disruption can also affect confirmed meals.

Can travel companions pool checked baggage on Qingdao Airlines?

Two or more passengers on the same flight to the same destination may combine their ticket-class allowances if they check in their bags at the same time and place. Voluntary cabin changes use the new class allowance; involuntary changes retain the original fare-class allowance. Separate international connection or product rules may apply.

Is Qingdao Airlines’ domestic excess baggage fee based on the discounted fare I paid?

No. Ordinary domestic excess baggage is charged per kilogram at 1.5% of the applicable full adult Economy fare for the direct flight on that day, rounded in RMB yuan. It is not based on your discounted ticket price. Check separate rules where special baggage or a particular product applies.
