Does HK Express Essential include a cabin suitcase as well as checked baggage?

No. Ultra Lite and Essential include one 40 × 25 × 20 cm personal item. Lite and Max also include one 56 × 36 × 23 cm cabin bag, with a combined 7 kg limit.

Do airport purchases count toward HK Express cabin baggage, and can spare checked allowance offset gate fees?

Airside purchases count toward cabin allowance. Excess gate baggage must be checked and charged; unused checked allowance cannot offset the gate fee.

What checked baggage comes with HK Express Essential and Max, and how many pieces can I buy online?

Essential includes one 20 kg bag; Max includes one 32 kg bag. Online channels allow purchase of up to two pieces; additional pieces require airport arrangements and fees.

When is HK Express online check-in available, and which departure airports are excluded?

From 48 hours to 75 minutes before departure, excluding Phu Quoc, Ningbo, Sanya, Changzhou, Wuxi and Yiwu. If no mobile pass is issued, visit the counter more than one hour before departure for document verification.

When do HK Express counters and boarding gates close in Hong Kong?

Counters open three hours before departure and close one hour before. Gates close 30 minutes before departure. Arrive at the counter at least two hours ahead.

Can I use a power bank or store it overhead on HK Express?

No. Do not use or recharge it onboard. Keep it in cabin baggage under the seat or a designated place such as the seat pocket, outside overhead lockers and checked baggage.

How many power banks does HK Express allow, and must smart-bag batteries be removed?

At most two power banks per passenger. Remove smart-bag batteries, protect them individually against short circuits and carry them in the cabin. Non-removable-battery baggage is not accepted.

Can an 11-year-old fly alone on HK Express using an unaccompanied-minor service?

No. Children aged two to under twelve need a fare-paying escort or carer aged at least eighteen throughout the journey. No unaccompanied-minor service is offered.

How early should I request wheelchair assistance from HK Express?

Apply through Manage My Booking at least 48 hours before departure. Notify the airline about your own wheelchair to reserve space, preferably with photos. Arrive at the counter at least 120 minutes before departure.

What does HK Express require for using CPAP onboard?

No medical clearance is needed, but give 72 hours’ notice for device validation. Bring compliant batteries lasting 1.5 times the flight duration. Use only during cruise; switch off and stow during taxi, take-off and landing.
