How to travel around Eritrea by air

What to expect when flying between cities or connecting after an international arrival.

Flying between cities in Eritrea

  • Check domestic-flight availability before planning travel within Eritrea
In its Eritrea listing last updated on 1 October 2026, FlightConnections identifies Asmara as the only airport with scheduled passenger flights and says there are no domestic flights. This is a dated schedule-directory snapshot. Before planning travel within Eritrea, verify service with an operator for your dates; an airfield or charter capability does not establish scheduled ticketed service.

Arriving from another country

  • Check ASM arrival car hire with the provider
flydubai lists car hire at Asmara International Airport. Check reservations, pickup location and charges for your arrival date with the actual provider before arranging your trip; this does not guarantee cars at every hour.
  • Report flydubai baggage issues at the ASM arrival desk
If your baggage is missing or damaged after arriving on flydubai, the airline directs you to report it straight away to the baggage-services desk at the arrival airport and follow staff instructions. Check other airlines’ procedures separately.
