International destinations are also served, mostly to the USA, Cuba and Colombia. Viva operates a large fleet of Airbus single aisle aircraft configured in a high density layout.
Fees and allowances vary by route, fare and status.

Passengers may also carry a personal item, such as a purse, briefcase, laptop bag or camera bag. The total weight of all three pieces cannot exceed 22 lbs / 10 kg.
Viva accepts one baby (under 2 years old) per Adult. Infants are defined as children under two years of age. Babies must be at least seven days old to fly with us.

Find quick answers to the most common questions about flying with VivaAerobus.
What are Viva’s personal-item and carry-on size limits?
A personal item must not exceed 45 × 35 × 20 cm; a carry-on must not exceed 55 × 40 × 25 cm. The number of pieces and weight allowance depend on the fare or combo purchased, so the size limit does not mean that every fare includes a cabin suitcase.
When should I reach Viva’s airport counters, and when does check-in close?
If you need counter assistance or checked baggage, reach the counters at least 2 hours before a domestic flight or 3 hours before an international flight. Counter check-in closes 45 minutes and 60 minutes before departure respectively. After check-in, reach the gate at least 35 minutes before a domestic flight or 55 minutes before an international flight.
Can I check a stroller free of charge when flying with an infant on Viva?
Yes. One regular or foldable stroller measuring no more than 158 linear cm may be checked free when travelling with an infant. It can be handed over at the counter, gate, or aircraft door with staff assistance. Extra diaper bags or handbags count toward the accompanying adult’s allowance. One adult may accompany only one infant.
What does Viva’s Baby Package include, and does an infant car seat require a paid seat?
The optional paid package includes Viva Express, one infant personal item, and one eligible stroller, infant car seat, travel crib, or similar listed item. To use an infant car seat in the cabin, buy an additional seat next to the responsible adult; the car seat must be FAA-approved. An infant turning two before the return flight needs a return seat at the regular fare.
How many power banks can I take on Viva, and may I use them in flight?
Up to two power banks per passenger are permitted, each rated at no more than 100 Wh. They must travel in carry-on baggage. Do not recharge them or use them to charge other devices during the flight.
Does Viva charge for my manual wheelchair, and where is it handed over?
Your manual wheelchair is checked free. Select its type under Accessibility and assistance services in the booking’s personal-information section. You may hand it over at the counter and use an airline wheelchair, or keep it to the gate where airport facilities allow. A manual chair handed over at the gate is normally returned at the aircraft door; one checked at the counter is collected at the baggage carousel.
When must I contact Viva before travelling with medical equipment?
Medical equipment can travel in the cabin free of charge if it meets the 55 × 40 × 25 cm, 10 kg, and safe-stowage requirements. For lithium batteries, specialized electrical components, or regulatory restrictions, email [email protected] at least 48 hours before departure for assessment. Without advance validation, arrive at the counters at least 2 hours 30 minutes before departure for review rather than going directly to the gate.
Can I carry human or pet ashes on Viva?
Yes, in carry-on baggage inside a securely closed container that prevents spillage. Declare them at check-in, security and/or the gate. Carry the cremation, exhumation, or remains-release certificate, in original or copy, where required by health or airport authorities or Viva. A death certificate is additionally required for human ashes, not pet ashes.
How many checked bags can I take on a Viva flight to the United States?
Viva’s baggage FAQ limits passengers on flights to the United States to three checked bags, regardless of their weight or size. Purchased allowance, per-piece limits and any excess charges still apply separately.
Where do I report delayed, missing or damaged checked baggage to Viva?
Report the incident and complete the form on Viva’s designated baggage platform, https://mybag.aero/baggage/#/pax/viva/en-gb/main-menu. Keep your baggage claim tag as proof that the bag was checked. Failure to use the designated reporting channel may prevent processing. Report promptly and check the deadline applicable to your route.
