How to travel around Madagascar by air

What to expect when flying between cities or connecting after an international arrival.

Flying between cities in Madagascar

  • Check your fare and sector for Madagascar domestic baggage
Madagascar Airlines says baggage conditions depend on class, fare family and domestic, regional or long-haul destination category. Check your own e-ticket for a domestic connection rather than applying a partner international-sector allowance.

Arriving from another country

  • Request a PIR from ground staff for Madagascar Airlines arrival baggage issues
Madagascar Airlines asks passengers with baggage issues to request a Property Irregularity Report from ground staff and keep it safe. Provide flight and bag details for follow-up; registration does not approve compensation.
